Can I use my existing WhatsApp number?

Yes, you can use an existing WhatsApp number. However, before onboarding, you must first delete the WhatsApp account linked to that number.

Why are there additional WhatsApp charges?

While regular WhatsApp usage is free, businesses utilizing the WhatsApp Business API will incur charges for sending customer messages. WhatsApp conversation pricing varies based on your customer’s country code and the conversation category.

For UK customers, you’ll be charged £0.0509 / Marketing; £0.028 / Service; £0.0287 / Utility. Refer to the full list of  WhatsApp rates here

What is a WhatsApp Conversation?

WhatsApp Conversation is a 24-hour messaging window initiated only when a business messages a user.

Businesses and users can exchange any number of messages, including template messages, within a 24 hour conversation session without incurring additional charges. 

Do you have any cancellation fees?

No, Telex is a pay-as-you-go service, and we do not have any cancellation fees. You can cancel your plan at any time. However, we do not provide any refunds on payments made for your existing subscription or credits.

How long are your contracts? Can I change plans?

You can choose to pay by month or by year. You can start/stop or make changes to your plan at any time.

What is a Monthly Active Contact (MAC)?

A Monthly Active Contact (MAC) is an individual user who has had one or more interactions with your account via a single channel in a calendar month.

1 unique phone number = 1 contact.

How are MACs billed?

You are only billed once per customer on a specific channel per month. MACs allow a single customer to contact you an unlimited number of times in a month on the same channel at no extra cost. If one customer contacts you multiple times via the same channel in a month, you will only be billed for one MAC. If the same customer contacts you across two different channels in a month then you will be billed for two MACs. At the start of each new calendar month, MACs are reset.  Every plan includes a fixed number of MAC credits.

What if I reach my Monthly Active Contact Limit?

If you reach your Monthly Active Contact limit, you can continue working as per usual but will be charged MAC Overcharges for the excess contacts. MAC Overcharges will be charged at the end of the billing month via your payment method in blocks of 100 MACs.

What types of payment do you accept?

We accept payments from all credit cards enabled for international online transactions. You can also pay through bank transfers if you choose an annual plan. Please reach out to customer support for more information.
